...when life gives you lemons

"Blessed is the person who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him".

James 1:12 ESV

It's a common metaphor: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

When something unpleasant happens, instead of complaining what is sour—or wrong with it—you can try to 'tweek' the situation, or re-frame your view of it, and turn it into something sweet or positive.

Life constantly spews hardships—whether it be career advancement, financial woos, health problems or relationships. The list goes on and on...

When adversity comes our way in life, we often are left to face problems or pressures that some may think it is too big for to solve. It is only when adversity comes knocking at our door when we realize our weaknesses.

It forces us to evaluate our situation!

Whether it's realize in the moment, or after the fact—adversity is good for our growth and relationship with Christ.

Many people fear failure. Especially in their careers and life pursuits. What some people are missing, however, are the blessings in disguise that come from these failures. We simply can't appreciate the good, without taking the bad as well.

True success can't be appreciated without a bit of disappointment along the way.

Just think of the greatest leaders and innovators of our time. They all became the best thanks to many lessons they learned throughout their journey.

For example, Albert Einstein was deemed mentally handicapped and slow due to his delayed development and he was eventually expelled and refused back into school. Adversity followed Einstein later in life as he was denied job after job. Eventually, he was awarded an entry-level job in a government patent office. If Einstein were to have given up at any stage of his life because of the hurdles he faced, then he would have never went on to become one of the greatest minds to have ever lived.

No matter how smart and clever and careful you are, you’ll face life struggles, challenges, difficulties, and sometimes heartbreaking adversities every day, week and month of your life.

Praise the Lord!

He is my Rock.

He prepares me for war.

He trains me for battle.

he loves me and protects me.

He is my safe place high on the mountain.

He rescues me.

He is my shield.

I trust in him.

He helps me rule my people.
